Well I'll just get straight to it.
We're gearing up to go back to PNG for our second term (on April 21, Lord willing). We have a goal of raising $1,000 per month in additional support. We're currently 10% of the way to our goal.
This is to get us back to our baseline level we had when we started our first term. Now, we're not starving at the moment so don't panic. And admittedly, I've been putting this off because I dislike talking about this stuff. But we've had a 15% increase in our rent in PNG, we had another child (that's totally our fault), a few supporters had to leave our team for various reasons (all good ones - we aren't bitter towards anyone!), and domestic airfare, groceries, internet, and fuel are all costing more in PNG. Of course, they're costing more everywhere. I'm sure we're not the only ones noticing the pinch so I hate to bring it up. Needless to say, if I don't bring it up, people won't know about the need. So now you know. If you've been following our family's story for a while, please consider helping to make the story possible by becoming a financial supporter, or help us reach our goal by increasing your support. Click the button below to get more info on doing that.
If everyone who subscribed to the blog gave $3.33 per month, we'd be a dollar short of our goal (which I'd say is close enough). So don't think that a little support won't help. But if you do give, I want you to do so because you want to and not because you feel you have to. God has always helped us get it done and I'm confident he will continue doing so. We'd be honored to have you on our team.
That's my pitch. In the words of our president, "Thank you for your attention to this matter."
Josh
